Tired of hiding your smile from others? Wish you could finally do something about your discolored, cracked, or missing teeth? Or, do you simply want to build upon your natural oral aesthetics?
Cosmetic dentistry is an aspect of modern dentistry that allows us to conservatively restore your teeth back to their natural strength and beauty. It also allows us to enhance the appearance of your smile by closing gaps, straightening crooked teeth, lightening worn and chipped teeth, and whitening your teeth for a more youthful, clean and healthy looking smile.
Our whitening system is a scientifically advanced tooth Whitening procedure. It’s safe, effective and fast. In only one office visit, your teeth will become dramatically whiter.
Unlike caps/crowns, veneers only cover the front surface of a tooth. Porcelain veneers provide long-lasting results and perfect your smile. Porcelain veneers are thin, and are made from tooth-coloured porcelain custom shaped shells that are designed to cover the entire front and part of the back surface of the teeth. Porcelain veneers can dramatically improve the appearance of anyone’s teeth.
Some of the issues our porcelain veneers can be used to repair or improve are:
• Gaps in teeth
• Crooked teeth
• Discoloured teeth
• Worn and chipped teeth
• Old Veneers
If the damage or decay is more substantial, involving a large part of the tooth, we’ll remove part of the remaining tooth and place a crown, designed specifically to both look natural and protect the tooth from further damage.
Crowns made from porcelain or resin can easily be made to look perfectly natural, like any other tooth, though they are not quite as strong and durable as metal crowns, which tend to stand out much more. We’ll consult with you to find out which type of crown is best for you and most fits your circumstances.
Bonding is used in limited cases to reshape individual teeth, close very small gaps and repair any slight defects, such as chipped teeth. The material is chosen to match the colour translucency and consistency of your natural teeth and is then moulded to the desired shape, before being set in place using an ultra violet light. This is carried out over one appointment.
